APS Test To Stay Program
Posted 1/9/22

APS has implemented a new program to prevent students from missing so much school if they are a close contact to a positive case. You have probably seen communication from APS about this, but in short, if a student is a close contact, rather than quarantining for 10 days, parents may opt their child into testing at Georgia O'Keeffe by Premier Medical Group. Students will test on days 1, 3, and 5. As long as your child tests negative, your child may stay at school, ride the bus, participate in extracurricular activities and before- and after-school programs. If your child tests positive, your child will be isolated at school until they are able to return home, where your child will need to quarantine.

Test To Stay Opt In

Remember, if your child has been fully vaccinated and they are a close contact, they do not have to quarantine or test to stay. In this situation, you will be notified and will just have to watch for symptoms.
