Pi Math Storybook Club

The purpose of this club is to encourage students to read stories with math themes that will help them understand specific math concepts. Students must read six different math themed books and write a little about the story and use of math in the story. Written responses are on the PI Math Storybook Club record sheet found in the library. Students receive recognition and a small prize during their library time for each sheet turned in to the library. Students who complete 10 sheets will enter the Hall of Fame for the PI Math Club.

This club is only for grades 1-3 and does not count toward the Ram Reader Hall of Fame.

Pi Math books are found on the nonfiction shelves Dewey numbers between 510-519. There are also some in the Easy section. These books have a dark green sticker with math symbols.
